Society Overview

Founded in 2014, ASNM-is an apolitical, non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening cancer care service, molecular imaging and awareness in Azerbaijan.

It has grown to become a well known imaging and society in the world and hosts one of the biggest and most innovative scientific meetings in Azerbaijan.

The Society works closely with national radiological societies across Europe and further afield while establishing relationships with major European and international organizations from other related fields.

It also monitors developments on the EU level which could have an impact on research and practice in nuclear medicine, with the best interests of the patient as its overriding goal.

Dr. Fuad Novruzov, MD, PhD is a president of society for the 2021-2025 period and the national delegate at European Association of Nuclear Medicine.

Vision, Mission and Goal

    The ASNMs vision is to optimize and advance science and education in nuclear medicine for the benefit of public health and humanity within the concept of personalized healthcare. The ASNM acts as the umbrella organization for individuals as well as national societies.

  • Mission

    ASNM strives to be a leader in unifying, advancing and optimizing molecular imaging, with an ultimate goal of improving human health. ASNM represents nuclear and molecular imaging professionals, all of whom are committed to the advancement of the field.

  • Goal

    The goal of the ASNM is to be a platform for the dissemination and discussion of the latest results in the field of nuclear medicine including multimodality imaging, treatment and prevention of diseases through the use of unsealed radioactive substances and the properties of stable nuclides in medicine.

History and Background

The ASNM was founded in October, 2014, in Baku.

The first congress of the ASNM took place in 2016 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The symposium about Neuroendocine Tumors took place in 2017 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The second congress of the ASNM took place in 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The third congress of the ASNM took place in 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Membership

ASNM members receive a significant reduction on the registration fee for the annual congress.
The annual congress of the ASNM is the one of the most educative meeting in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
